Gee. I'm glad someone likes my effort. I have, on occasion, taken a couple of brass or steel washers and soldered battery wires to them. The next step is a piece of stiff rubber hose cut to just the right length so that the washers, on each end of it, make up something one can snap into a battery compartment.
