Hi, Darren.

I'm sorry if I didn't explained well in my last e-mail. I did not intend to show you
were
wrong or you didn't know - which I actually don't believe. I only wanted to make clear
the
difference between DiskCopy and raw disk images, and between the utilities needed to
work
with them, because most newbies ussually get confused by this. My message wasn't
targeted
at you, but at the other readers of the thread.

Sorry for what Antonio?
Your post filled in some useful info. I didn't mean to poke holes, just explaining how easy it would be to email the image and how one would make it. Its been sometime since I last tried the FAQ's rawrite of a diskcopy image so your post was a refresher for me, thank you.

Jason may have some luck with the dd command after reading why the switches are attached, I've had no luck following the rawrite method, which is not to say it doesn't work.

For those pc users out there winrawrite is a gui rawrite which makes life simpler for people who prefer not to use a cli and can now be found on new nix distros or here
http://uranus.it.swin.edu.au/~jn/linux/rawwrite.htm (my old school)
Check out Johns site for other goodies like Explore2fs, handy on dual boot pc's in the same way HFVexplorer is handy for mac emulation, http://gamma.nic.fi/~lpesonen/HFVExplorer/ among other things. EXT2IFS is also handy but I've drifted way too far off subject now.

When imaging to a floppy, ALWAYS completely format the disk first, it sucks but it will save you alot of wasted time.

As a fellow pc user, I hope you find something to play with. :)

Cheers
