I know what you mean about the Ebay referrals; ESPECIALLY WHEN it seems some
self-promoting is going on...

But Ebay is SOOoooo vast, and there are SOOoooo many ways an item can be
listed (I once found a valuable Powerbook 550c listed as something like "UNKNOWN
NOTEBOOK COMPUTER"), I do not see the harm in notifying listers of something,
especiall yif it is a very rare item...

P.S. - I have a message to a certain lister out there; You know who YOU are:

Months ago a new lister appeared begging for someone to sell him a Keyboard
and a Mouse for his newly purchased Mac Classic. He stated his last Classic was
stolen, along with his Classic carry-bag. Since he was near, I suggested he
meet me and I GIVE HIM the keyboard + mouse he needed.

As I looked for a spare keyboard & mouse, I also found a classic Mac carry
Bag. I met the guy about 15 miles from my place, at a coffee shop, and gave him
TWO SETS of keyboards and mice. I tried to sell him the carry-bag for $20, but
he said he could not afford it "right now."

I said shoot, just take it, (what was I going to do with it?) and PayPal me
$20.00 when you get a chance.

...that was about FIVE MONTHS AGO.

Now, the $20.00 did NOT send me into backruptcy or anything(!), but it just
goes to show you that No Good Deed Goes Unpunished. Reminds me of the old Robin
Harris stand-up joke, when he explained to a puzzled youngster who witnessed
two stray dogs in the "grip of passion(!)" that "One dog hurt his foot, and
his friend is giving him a piggy-back ride home."

To which the youngster said "Ain't that just like a friend? Help him out and
he'll turn around and @*&$# you everytime...!"

Ha, ha! Whomever (&Wherever) you are; Enjoy the bag...
