You know, I got offered such a machine by a friend recently, for free

 know why...

I dont know why either, room is a big requirement, new ceiling fans to replace the old ones where also needed.
It was bought off ebay for $5, the 8x4gb 50pin scsi drives made the price worth it to me in the first place.
I hope to find a second cpu card, only 2 of 4 cpus are installed, more ram would also be nice but non essensial, a education in things past, proper hotplug raid arry, my only computer that has and requires wheels.
All this and the lcd panel on the front score well for wank factor points.
It also holds two Compacts up of the floor but has stolen the Axion 9' colour from one compact upgrade.

And incidentally, I am with Peter on the 64-bitness question. The
first 64-bit versions of Windows are just appearing now for Itanium
and x86-64 - the Alpha edition was native but it was 32-bit, I'm
 sure.

Yes, I must dual boot to another system to take advantage of 64bit, NT4 was a cop out on my part, $5 didn't get me the admin password, just the disc's.
