After lots of digging, I found 800k disk images of the System 7.0
installer. However, the System file on the first install disk is....
corrupt (it didn't even have a System suitcase icon).

Then I downloaded the 1.44mb disk images for 7.0.1 and MountImage to
mount the disks, since I don't have an SE FDHD. All of the disk images
mounted fine.

But, when I run the Installer on the disk Install 1, it says: "There's
a problem with the source disk 'Install 1.' No installation can take
place. Make sure you are using the original Installer disk. (Error
#2232)" I have not been able to find out what this error is.

I'm not really sure how to fix this...

Also, on Gamba's site it says that there was a minimal version of
System 7.0.1 bootdisk that could be used to open and install apple's
System 7.0.1 SMI file (which requires 7.0.1 to open), but to "use the
big-finder version, as minifinder can't mount disk images."
WHAT???????? There *is* no big finder version! What do they mean?

I tried using the contents of the "minifinder" disk as the system
folder, to see if I could boot from this on the HD and then replace
minifinder with a regular System 7.0.1 finder from one of the install
disks. However, I get a blinking disk when using this as the system
folder (and I did "bless" the folder)

I also tried this with the System 7.5.5 Network Access Disk (putting
in a folder) but this only gave me a blinking disk icon. There seems
to be an issue when using startup *disks* on the hard drive :\

Can anyone give me any insight? :(
