All SE/30's have the correct SWIM chip for the floppy drive controller. So, it's just a matter of swapping floppy drives.
On another note, for those of us who want an external SuperDrive, take an internal SuperDrive mechanism and swap it into an Apple 3.5 Drive case. Essentially, all you do is swap the mechanism. Leave the board at the back of the drive case as is. It works. I've done at least 3-4 SuperDrive conversions on the older Apple 3.5 Drives. The nice thing is that they still work as 800K drives on a Plus, 512KE, or an Apple IIgs. -J On Tue, Aug 30, 2005 at 10:41am Kacy Conant <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > If it is an 800k drive is it possible to put in a superdrive without having > to change anything else?
