Hi Gary,

The Color Classic has the same PDS slot that is in the LC/LC II
systems, matter of fact, I've often heard that the CC is basically an
LC II in a compact Mac case. So yes, you can use an LC Ethernet
adapter in your Color Classic. You should be safe with the Asante or
Sonic cards; Sonic cards use the standard System 7 drivers, and Asante
has drivers available on their website. I know about these particular
cards because I've used both in my own CC.

As far as communicating with OS 10, I think that AppleTalk support in
X is rather limited. I run 10.2.8 and I cannot connect to certain Mac
models, especially the old PowerBooks. I've heard that you can connect
to the OS X system using SharePoints software, but I haven't been
successful with it personally. Granted I've not spent much time
trying. :)
