I have a SE/30 with a problem. When I boot up the machine, the mac icon with the smiley face appears, the machine chimes, but it stops booting up. Then I restart the machine and then it boots up OK. The clock is keeping time so I assume the PRAM battery is OK. Any ideas?

One possibility... the hard drive is not up to speed on the first try...
