Heh. *That* is a question best left up to someone who's willing to take the heat for the decisions. ;-) Personally, I apply ats.date_conditional and dgc.deepif, as well as two I've written myself (but which have been rejected by upstream). I also build against qdbm for header caching. It might be instructive to see what the various linux distros tend to put in, but that's more work than a plain-vanilla update like you've primarily been doing. A vanilla update is probably fine for now, and we can figure out something more fancy later on. Danek
