It works for me pretty well. I saved my old gconf settings and unset all
of compiz, then set my custom settings up again. Took a while to get the
active plugins set correctly as the default value is pretty minimal.
Seems to work fine so far. Maximizing a window does so only to the
current head.

The only slightly strange thing is that if I have my left screen full of
windows and launch another app from the panel or desktop on the left
screen, the window will appear on the left even though the right screen
is empty. In that sense, compiz almost treats the two heads as separate
as far as initial placement goes. Is this a bug or a feature or a side
effect of the Nvidia binary drivers?

I'm working on an rpm for the compiz-extra plugins tarball just to see
how that goes.
