Good catch Michael, As Michael also points out, I too was not able to reproduce this behavior.
But I'm not sure if you are referring to the z-order or focus. If you are referring to z-order, as in the new application window does not come to the foreground, that is the intended behavior. If you are referring to focus, as in you are not able to enter text in to the new application window > this seems to be a bug. To help us to find and resolve the problem. Please answer these questions: * Is this reproducible in Karmic? * Pls provide the version of the packages you are running. * What window manager are you using? But as this seems to be a specific problem related to your system,Though a bug, This does not qualify as a papercut. For further info about papercuts criteria , pls read > https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PaperCut -- New windows don't get focus when other window is "always on top" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/392241 You received this bug notification because you are a member of compiz packagers, which is subscribed to compiz in ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~compiz Post to : compiz@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~compiz More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
