This is actually really sad. It seems like the nature of the problem is well understood. There is a ton of confirmation. The exact area that needs to be fixed has been identified, but the responsible parties just point fingers at each other.
Oh well. If they have another Paper Cuts jam, I am definitely submitting this bug report. It is HUGE now.
