I am also having another issue but im not sure if it is related to this bug or not. When i enable desktop cube it tells me to disable desktop wall once i disable desktop wall it tells me to disable Ubuntu unity plug-in. I stop there because I'm not sure what the plug-in does. My thought process is as: Compiz may be crashing due to incompatibility with Unity and this problem seems to be exactly that and incompatibility issue. If it is not the same please let me know and i will file a different bug.
