hmmm this seems sorta like my problem but its mostly on a secondary screen and only happens when compiz is enabled which i have made a bug report( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/739103 ) so someone should help to check to see if its the same problem or two different ones with the same symptom
