Same thing here: toshiba satellite with GMA965, even installing the compiz-fusion-plugins-extra package with the Burn animation, my favourite for open/close, which worked in natty, I don't have it working anymore under oneiric (installed from scratch), and I disabled the fading windows effects as well (obviously setting Burn as only animation for open/close events). Anyway, no other animations seem to work at all.
