Changing the mouse poll rate doesn't fix the problem for me either (oneiric,
geforce gt240m, logitech performance mx mouse).
choppyness happens with all my (logitech) mice and also the internal touchpad.
But the choppyness is gone, the moment I release the mousebutton and stop
moving the mouse. You can see it, by enabling wobbly windows....the moment I
release the button it becomes smooth as butter.
So there must be something different interfering while using the mouse, besides
an uncorrect mouse poll rate, which seems to fix the problem for some people
