The workaround *kinda* works. Here's how it did for me: 1. start ccsm 2. activate Ubuntu Unity Plugin -> Switcher -> Key to flip through the windows in the switcher. You will find this option is deactivated. Binding it will not unbind alt+circumflex right away 3. activate Application Switcher Plugin. Click through errors for doubly used bindings 4. play around with both plugins to no avail, notice how alt+circumflex can't be unbound 5. restart system and magically find key unbound
