I'm not sure if this will be helpful, but... There's another problem with Wine and a memory access violation and a workaround for this problem is to disable ptrace protection with
echo 0 | sudo tee /proc/sys/kernel/yama/ptrace_scope I noticed that running this command fixes the menu bar problem as well.
