Actually it should be: (nouveau|Intel).*Mesa 8\.0 or in areas like C code, quoted as: (nouveau|Intel).*Mesa 8\\.0
The solution that was implemented: (nouveau|Intel).*Mesa 8.0 is technically wrong because that will match "Mesa 800" or "Mesa "8A0".
