Hi, I am having difficulty replicating the problem. I am using Thunderbird 52.8.0 (64-bit) as well but I am in Ubuntu 18.04.
I created and saved an event and when the popup came up, I clicked "Details..." The event edit window came up, to the left side of the popup. Both are clickable and I can move them and I can edit in the editing screen. See screen print. Can you give me ideas as to what I might need to change about my system to match yours?
