What's that supposed to mean? :) Is there an imminent Matrox release that
we may hear about on, say, March 27th or so? Personally, I want to hear
more about nVidia's super-secret successor to the TNT, the card rumored to
have a fillrate in the range of 600 MP/s :) Also, the Glaze3D is sounding
like it may actually become a reality, instead of simply someone's pipe
dream. January's Maximum PC had a blurb on it, here's the short version: 4
triliearly-filtered textures/pass, 4096x4096 max texture size, chip running
at 200 MHz, 16-64 MB memory (Rambus, DirectDRAM, or SDRAM) at 400 MHz,
32-bit rendering, programmable triangle setup engine, 16K texture cache, 8K
stencil buffer, anti-aliasing, and SLI support (via two chips on one
board). Not bad, eh? I saw a recent brief interview with a guy from the
company (called Bitboys Oy), I believe he said they were hoping to have a
first silicon run in a few months. If they pull this off....
