Apple Store In Greece Bombed, Fallout From Kosovo
Reuters is reporting that a retail computer shop in Athens, Greece was
bombed today. The
computer store was an Apple retail outlet. According to Reuters,
authorities think that the
bombing may have been a response to the US bombing in Kosovo. According to
Reuters:
A bomb exploded outside a shop selling Apple computers in Athens on Friday
in
what police believe could be a protest against U.S.-led NATO raids on
Yugoslavia.
Police said a television station had received a warning call that a bomb
was to be
set off at a shop selling U.S. computers.
The bomb shattered the shop's windows and those of nearby stores and
damaged
some computers. No one was hurt.
Demonstrators earlier clashed with police in central Athens outside the
U.S.
embassy, protesting against NATO attacks on Yugoslavia.
U.S. ambassador to Greece Nicholas Burns asked Greek officials to increase
security around U.S. interests in the country.

to hurt those
uninvolved with their particular struggle.
Whether or not the US is justified or not justified in its offensive
against Yugoslavia, Apple
Computer and very likely the store that was bombed, have NOTHING to do with
the invasion.
For that matter, there are likely VERY few people, companies, or other
entities in Greece that
are involved with this invasion. Thank goodness no one was physically hurt.
