No benchmark suite would be complete without a little bit o' Quake 2! The G400 does not do as well in Quake II. In the G400 vanilla's case, we strongly attributed the lower benchmark values to the lack of a fully robust OpenGL ICD. As of now, we're unsure as to the stage of the OpenGL support that the latest drivers had. However, keep in mind that the G400 MAX is not fully slated as the gamer's card 2. Price : It's no secret. You get what you pay for, and this is especially true when we talk about technology. If you want the cool features that the G400 MAX offers, you will have to pay for them. The estimated street price of $249 isn't exorbitant though, especially when compared to other high-end cards available today. (2.5 stars of 5) 3. Final Verdict : Matrox has done it again with the Millennium G400 MAX. The Matrox Millennium G400 MAX offers a delectable blend that is difficult to beat. This is the card that has something to offer for everybody, whether you are a gamer, a business user, a entertainment consumer....this card has features that will please you. Whether it be the superb image quality and vibrant colors, the DualHead technology, or the Environment Mapped Bump Mapping support, there are features like these and more which are the cause of much enjoyment.
