Wintune juga ngga bagus2 amat koq. Ini kutipan dari Winchip:
Two of the most commonly used benchmarks are synthetic and
application benchmarks. For example, Wintune 97 is a synthetic benchmark that
does not actually run an application to calculate the speed of a processor.
Most synthetic benchmarks use comparisons to calculate the speed of a processor.
To be more specific, synthetic benchmarks compare the amount of time it takes to run
a known set of instructions, then they will compare this number to the amount of time
it takes to run the same instructions on the processor you are testing at the time.
In other words, synthetic benchmarks utilize comparison testing instead of actually
running an application to obtain the results, the IDT WinChip C6 is displayed as
running much slower than it actually is.
