High Frequency (HF)

Xing has extended the frequency range of its encoding engine to
20 kHz. While only a small percentage of users have both hardware
that can clearly reproduce high frequency sounds and exceptional
hearing to distinguish those high frequencies from lower
frequencies within the music, Xing felt it was important to exceed
the MPEG standards and include this frequency range.
