Weits, sorry, gue dapet dari source yang lain,
http://www.nerd-out.com/apex/Info_FAQs/info_faqs.html.
Do not use tildes, dashes, underscores or any other such marking. The
player only understands letters and numbers, and will translate these
characters into letters...a dash is "M," a tilde "N," and so on. It will
read filenames in alphabetical order. Therefore, if you want a specific
file to play first, a simple way to do this is to append two numbers at the
beginning of each filename. Long file names in Windows should be saved on a
"Joliet" layer (don't worry...all Windows burnsofts do this automatically
and most Linux burnsofts do it easily). These will not be read by the
player, but make it easier to read the files on a PC. These long filenames
have the difficulty of making the actual DOS filename 6 characters long
with a tilde and a number after it. This is what creates the "XXXXXN2"
display on all MP3s saved with long filenames. Finally, spaces are not
saved in 8.3 format, though they appear in the Joliet "long" file name. So,
if you use spaces as your delimiters, the player will display less
gibberish. In other words, saving a file as "01 Space Cowboy.mp3" will
result in the display "01SPACN1" instead of "01PMPSN1" for
"01_-_Space_Cowboy.mp3).
[EMAIL PROTECTED] i found that if the filenames are greater than 31
characters, the player doesn't see the files. i also a file named something
like S.O.S.mp3, which it also didn't see. i also had some .jpg files on the
disc which makes me believe that the player looks for .mp3 in the filename
in order to figure out weather the file is an mp3, as opposed to looking at
the contents of the file
[EMAIL PROTECTED] SORT BY ARTIST first then SORT BY SONG WITH SPACES
! ! !
I have done extensive testing with my AD-600A and have come up with a
naming technique for MP3 CD-R's + CR-RW's. It works on both and the CD does
not need to be closed and can be Multiple Session.
*** NOTE's ***
1 - Don't put MP3's in the Root directory
(The player makes a directory called "ROOT")
2 - Don't bother with Sub-directory's
(The player can read but doesn't help organize)
3 - SPACES !!! - Use ` (to the left of 1) or @ (shift 2)
(The player translates these two characters to spaces)
(I.E. PNK'FLYD displays as PNK FLYD)
4 - Don't bother with Capitol of Lower case naming
(The player only displays CAPITOLS)
Here is a Sample MP3 CD Layout;
Directory Names; Song Titles;
SANTANA SMOOTH
LV'O'LFE
MARIA'MA
STLY`DAN BLK`FRDY
HEY`19
DOIT`AGN
P`COLLNS TONIGHT
PARADISE
2`HEARTS
Anyway, I'm sure you get the picture. The nice things about this way of
naming a MP3 CD are Spaces on the TV Display, Easier to find songs and you
can look at the screen while a MP3 is playing and you can tell the artist
as well as the song. (The player always displays both the directory nams as
well as the MP3 name)

Hello,
I just bought this machine in Cleveland and brought it back to my home in
Toronto. I have about 150 mp3 discs full of bootlegs and I can't get a CD
layout to appear on the screen at all! I've tried everything, I've named
the songs less than 9 characters, left all other file types off the disc,
tried CD-RW and CD-Rs.
Is there a button I need to push or something? All the display shows is
something like 70:15 but nothing on the screen.
PLEASE HELP!

Expansion on the subdirectory note above: the Apex will display subdirs,
but only the lowest level subdir with MP3's in it, and all those subdirs
will display on the top level menu without mention of their parent dirs.
For example, if I have a disk with:
/TOP1/SUB1/SONG1.MP3
/TOP2/SUB2/SONG2.MP3
/TOP2/SUB3/SONG3.MP3
the Apex's directory screen will display:
SUB1 SUB2
SUB3
Entering SUB1 will display SONG1 etc.
