Indeed, it did this so rapidly that I could deduce that Professor
Drake lives rather close to Portland, Oregon. StoneGrid had played

You are correct about my location, but I don't understand your
reasoning. Also, I am the author of Orego, not StoneGrid.
Sorry, I was confused there. It is John Fan, author of Stonegrid, who
must live near Portland. StoneGrid was able to disconnect and reconnect
several times a second, implying a fast connection to the beta server -
which is, I think, in Portland.

Also, Orego has to be recompiled to change board sizes.
