>Is MacJanitor still your utility of choice for "cleaning up" the Mac?
MacJanitor is just a way to run the three periodic maintenance scripts on demand. It works fine for this. But it may no longer be needed. Starting in Tiger Apple replaced a tangle of UNIX methods (cron etc.) with a single, unified launcher called launchd (launchd daemon). It is in dispute whether launchd fixes the problem of "missed" events. This grousing may be from old UNIX hands who seem to hate it when anything is changed. Looking at my Mac it looks to me that launchd does the job. YMMV. ************************************************************************ * ==> QUICK LIST-COMMAND REFERENCE - Put the following commands in <== * ==> the body of an email & send 'em to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] <== * Join the list: SUBSCRIBE COMPUTERGUYS-L Your Name * Too much mail?
