A T1 is a designation of speed, among other things.    DSL is a generic term
for technology to move digital signal over analog lines.  More and more
connections labeled DSL really aren't.  I think the fastest DSL can go and
still be technically DSL is 7mbit.  Someone on the list might have a better
ideal.
