To some, this may look like a personal attack, but it is not meant to be.
The two of us have different ways of looking at the world so any
discussion of this is bound to be about personal characteristics.

I think our many previous interactions have amply demonstrated that you
are not observation driven. You tend to see what your predispositions
prepare you to see -- for example the many things you say about Macs that
are not so. When people are having trouble you filter it out or write
them off as stupid. I think you do not notice when the technology is
failing.

When I say that people have trouble with the second button it is because
I have watched them. I see how they are startled and frustrated whan they
click and a menu pops up instead of the action they expected.

This problem is especially serious when the mouse operator is still
trying to work out the hand-eye coordination issues involved in moving
the mouse pointer across the screen.

It also gets confusing when they are facing badly over-designed web pages
full of rollovers and pop-ups. When they click the "wrong" button they
are confused because suddenly they are interacting with the browser
instead of the web page they are concentrating on. This change of context
is a difficult concept that is hard to learn.
