I bought three of the least expensive Garmin Nuvis for myself and my
kids. Not having to ask map phobic passengers for help navigating is
one big advantage that should not be underrated. Another is being
able to concentrate on driving rather than navigating on high speed
urban roads like Connecticut Ave in DC - at least for someone like me
who rarely drives in the city. The Nuvis are completely functional,
but not fancy. I am very pleased with them.
