A friend sent my wife a link to a .mpg file. We tried to view it. When
we tried to view it in the browser, we got the Quicktime "Q" with a
question mark in the middle of it. When we download and then tried to
watch it , we received the message "this is not a movie file." We are
using a Mac running OS 10.4.11, running the latest version of Quicktime
and the latest version of Flip4Mac.
However if we use a Windows machine we are able to view it with Windows
Media Player.
What gives? Why can't I view it on my Mac? Is this a Window's only file?
