Interesting conflict. Newer Apple laptops have Apple's Sudden Motion 
Sensor. I've read that putting a drive with G-Force Protection into a 
computer that has a Sudden Motion Sensor is a bad idea.

Apple also has a tech note that says their Sudden Motion Sensor can be 
activated by loud sounds at concerts and dance clubs.
