Oddly, the only really good red-eye tool I've ever seen is in (I think, IIRC) Corel's Paint Shop Pro ( http://tinyurl.com/72x7dj ). It actually contains several human and animal eye templates you can use. Photoshop has a red-eye tool which often works fairly well with people, but rarely works at all for pets.
Since this is such a common problem, one would think more programs would spend more effort on it.
