Federal subsidies are used for all sorts of things without claims beng made that it is all part of a plan for the federal government to take over everything. Why are such claims being brought forth in this instance?
For the same ideological reasons they object to anything that we the people do collectively. I suppose they think that anything done to give a fellow human a hand up is lessening their personal advantage. Why block the extension of unemployment benefits? Why block consumer protection? Why block healthcare? Always the same reasons are given.
