I'm getting frustrated. My wife's printer on her computer has had issues for the past 4 or 5 months, she keeps getting new "copies" of the printer (HP1522, "HP1522 copy 1", etc.), I'm trying to get this to work before we go off on vacation... I heard the solution was to delete and reinstall the most current version of the driver from HP. By now, I think I've tried installing every version of the driver that HP has.
Some versions of the driver will look like it's expanding the executable and then it quits with no error messages. Hmmm, some of the versions will expand, start running, tell me to plug in the USB cable and the app never gets the cable insertion signal, the computer starts going through the balloons saying it found new hardware. Right now I'm waiting for my wife to show up where she stored (aka hid) the disk that came with the printer to reinstall the driver from that. -- Take care | This clown speaks for himself, his job doesn't Wayne D. | supply this, at least not directly Very good, Einstein - but next time show your work *************************************** ** THIS LIST HAS MOVED TO YAHOO ** ** PLEASE JOIN THE DISCUSSION THERE ** ** Info at http://www.cguys.org/ ** ***************************************
