I should note that I haven't had a working mac in quite a while. Though I
did just buy a new PSU for my old G4, so I as soon as I have time to do
surgery we'll see if that resurrects it. The point being the last several
releases should work, but weren't tested on a mac.

(and to be honest I always had a lot of shoddy luck on the mac, getting the
kernel drivers not to bind).
