Hello! My first email to the list. I finally got sick of booting into Windows just to update my Harmony 525. It's about the only thing I still use Windows for, so finding concordance and congruity was most welcome.
Anyway, I have successfully updated my remote using concordance (0.24) and congruity frontend (ver. 15) using the Logitech website (http://members.harmonyremote.com/) as per the instructions here: http://madabar.com/techblog/2011/09/09/logitech-harmony-universal-remote-linux-software-support/ My distro is Arch Linux (rolling release, up to date, using systemd). 1. Remote is successfully detected (evidenced by concordance -iv in terminal). 2. Congruity launches appropriately when using the logitech website () 3. Remote update is successful, but the "Reconnect to Remote" stage fails. 4. running concordance iv in a terminal at this time states "ERROR: Couldn't initializing libconcord: Error connecting or finding the remote" This appears the same as this discussion thread: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=584896. From what I gather it seems as though concordance doesn't detect the remote once it gets reset after the firmware flash is successful. It appears to be a problem with concordance, rather than congruity. I suspect (but haven't yet tried) that workaround would be to unplug and replug the remote after it's flashed (will give it a try later today). Reviewing the mailing list over over the past 3 years I can see no discussion of this, or resolution / workarounds suggested, hence my email. Thanks in advance, and also for the fantastic piece of software! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Everyone hates slow websites. So do we.
