Are you trying to add a second remote to an account that already has one
attached? If so, I don't think the old website supported multiple remotes per
account. You'll have to create a second account.
The Software Update Available messages are "normal.". You just have to keep
acknowledging them.
Also, what model of remote are you using? A lot of the newer remotes only work
with the newer website, for which you would have to use mhgui, if it supports
your remote.
