It only occurs when I start using the command-line approach. Launching
it without the -chrome argument results in a resizable Conkeror
window. Interesting...

Do you have the problem only when you start conkeror using the command
line approach (e.g. 'firefox -chrome chrome://conkeror/content') or do
you have the problem also when you start it after making conkeror the
default with the "Set Chrome" button? For me, the problem only occurs
(under OSX, not Windows) if I use the command line approach and not if
I use the "Set Chrome" approach.
