I remember this happening to me a couple times though I never found
the exact cause. It's one of those funky things I just kinda lather,
rince repeat til it goes away. Uhm, in computer terms that means
uninstall, reinstall, mess around, repeat :).

It's possible you need to start regular firefox once more to finalize
the installation of conkeror. I found sometimes this helped.

1. install conkeror.
2. quit firefox
3. boot firefox
4. quit firefox
5. firefox -chrome chrome://conkeror/content

If that doesn't work the next thing to try is to move your .mozilla
dir away (rename it to ~/dot-mozilla) then boot firefox and install
conkeror. It could be some weirdness with your settings. If that works
then..well we can talk about it then.
