I did not get this error from the beginning. Rather, I tried to set up a conkerorrc file, and have been getting this error ever since ... even after deleting my .conkerorrc file, and even after reinstalling conkeror, and even after moving my ~/.mozilla directory and reinstalling conkeror.
How to fix??
