Yes, this is indeed the case. I have done a new clone checked that it was definitely without the session code, and it works. Thanks for all the help, it is disappointing that I will not be able to have sessions on this machine, but I am too happy to have conkeror back to worry about it that much. What I can't figure out is why the profile_dir thingy breaks it so badly. It seems to be just setting a variable, actually it just seems to be trying to getting the profile directory, but there must be a more robust way to do that. Other than that, sessions was working a treat.
