Recently Facebook, to the annoyance of many, has decided that a comment on another member's wall posting is to be terminated with a newline. If one actually wants a newline within the comment, one is supposed to cap-shift it. That, however, does not work in Conkeror; shift-enter does not terminate the comment, but it does not insert a newline either. However, I discovered by trial & error that quoting it with c-q does the job. So, c-q shift-enter gets you a newline.
