As mentioned I my posting of 2 June, I have managed to get Conkeror 0.9.3 and Xulrunner 2.0 working under Windows XP, to my general satisfaction. However, there are some curious & sometimes annoying behaviors that may be bugs or may be due to faults in the installation (performed for me by a nonexpert):
1. If Conkeror is left running, Xulrunner crashes about once a day. I have learned to avoid this by restarting Conkeror every day. 2. Whenever I bring up a new site, Conkeror also creates a window containing file///c:/conkeror/application.ini. It does not dwell on that window, but keeps it in the queue, with the result that the queue consists of alternations of windows of that sort with windows containing sites I have previously visited. Also, bringing up a new site yields the mysterious minibuffer message "M-back_quote is undefined". 3. Sporadically, especially when visiting Facebook, the Space key ceases to execute a scroll down. This failure is accompanied by a minibuffer message "Call interactively: TypeError: elem is null". The PageDown key, in contrast, always works. 4. Sporadically, especially when visiting Wikipedia, the right-hand vertical scroll bar is missing, and the scroll wheel on the trackball does not work. This time, however, the Space key does scroll properly. Thank you for your attention. -- --- Joe Fineman [email protected] ||: Under modern manners, peculiar feelings cling to error. :|| _______________________________________________ Conkeror mailing list [email protected] https://www.mozdev.org/mailman/listinfo/conkeror
