As far as I can tell the problem isn't specific to any sites. Generally,
once I've opened 10-20 buffers, the xulrunner processor usage jumps to
20-30%%.  Once I reach 30 buffers it leaps to 100%.

If I open Twitter or Gmail and keep it running for a while performance is
affected and it does freeze for periods at a time with the processor at
100%.  But I really need an accurate way of measuring this.
