I think you may have to give more details...  I'm working on devices that
also connect to a hidden wifi in a hospital and I'm pretty sure it's made
re-connections properly.  I'm using a config file like this:

[service_hospital]
Type=wifi
Name=hospital-wifi
Passphrase=password
IPv4=dhcp
Hidden=true
