Hello All, I am new to the list and would like to introduce myself. I have been living and working in Philadelphia, PA (USA) for the past 10 years after graduating from 2nd year at West Dean College. Over those years, I have had the great pleasure of restoring clocks for Independence National Hall, The Pennsylvania Hospital, the Dietrich American Foundation (clocks in the State Dept. & Philadelphia Museum of Art) and the Union League of Philadelphia, where I am also the clock keeper.
I have a B.S. in Physics (Salisbury Univ. '92) and two West Dean College diplomas in Antique Clock Conservation & Restoration (Post Grad Dip '05, Professional Development Dip '06) where I won the Harold Davis Prize for most improved first year clock student. My personal belief is that there are conservationally correct ways of restoring clocks which use an intelligent combination of old world craftsmanship and modern materials and methods and that running clocks can add a vital element to public spaces and museum galleries.
