I am seeking recommendations from other paintings conservators on both types and specific brands of spray equipment that they have found work best for spray varnishing. I can't afford a Chiron spray system (and they are hard to come by), so I was wondering what else is out there? I got overwhelmed with the amount of options on the market... Do most people prefer a dedicated HVLP turbine system, or just a HVLP gun with a regular air compressor? If so, what brands and models can people recommend?
