Currently student in fourth year at the Institut National du Patrimoine 
(France) in furniture conservation, my dissertation work, next year, will be 
dedicated to the replacing of mother-of-pearl. In order to optimally focus my 
subject of research, it would be very interesting to have your feedback 
concerning the treatment of losses of mother-of-pearl. The purpose of the 
survey is to make an inventory of the techniques used by conservators and their 
difficulties.
